The worlds of NCIS: LA and Hawaii Five-0 are about to collide.

Daniela Ruah’s NCIS: LA character, Agent Kensi, will cross over to fellow CBS crime procedural Hawaii Five-0 this fall, an Eye spokesperson confirms to TVLine.

Ruah leaked the news on Twitter early Thursday. “Aloha,” she wrote. “Read my lips closely… Kensi will make her way to Hawaii Five-0 this season! Stay tuned… ”

No further details were made available, but it’s probably safe to say the crossover will air during November sweeps.

NCIS: Los Angeles | Chatting up the gorgeous Daniela Ruah, I told her it was refreshing that with the Kensi/Deeks “will they/wont they” dynamic, it’s the woman who suspects there’s a “thing” between them, versus what is typically the man’s POV. And… she wasn’t entirely on board with my assessment. “I don’t know that he doesn’t [believe there’s a ‘thing’], and I don’t know if she does,” Ruah countered. “I don’t know if she said ‘our thing’ this and ‘our thing’ that thinking there’s an actual thing; I think she just realizes that it gets to him when she says that, and that’s all she cares about — pushing his buttons in any way possible.” Doth the lady protest too much?

NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 2 finale saw Callen & Co. turn in their badges and headed overseas in search of Hetty, who resigned from NCIS to protect Callen from the Comescu mob family.

There’s just one problem: Hetty (Linda Hunt) turned herself over to the Comescu clan before Callen could find her. And based on the exclusive first images of Season 3 below, the search will continue.

In the photos, Callen (Chris O’Donnell), Sam (LL Cool J) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) regroup in an abandoned building in Romania as they try to determine where Hetty is and what their next step should be. But it sounds like Hetty’s location isn’t the only thing Callen will learn during his stay.

“No cheats. No maybes. [This is] the most revealing episode yet about Callen,” executive producer Shane Brennan tells TVGuide.com. “And yes, Hetty holds the key.”

Is that key the mysterious tattoo Hetty showed the Comescu leader (Cristine Rose) in last year’s finale? We’ll have to wait to find that out, but the answers about Callen’s mysterious ties to this family will come much sooner, Brennan says.

“What we reveal in those first four episodes is more than what we’ve revealed about Callen’s backstory in two seasons,” Brennan says. “When we get to that fourth episode, I think everyone’s going to take a big deep breath, and say, ‘OK, where’s he going to go now? What’s the next part of this journey?’ We answer a lot of questions, and they are heart-wrenching. ”

Well, exec producer Shane Brennan tells us that in an early Season 3 episode, “circumstances will dictate” a temporary shuffling of partners — “and they are not happy. People are like, ‘Really? I’m with him?’” Daniela Ruah, meanwhile, raves that the Sept. 20 season opener — which will play out in real time and in which “one of our favorite characters gets shot” — is “one of the fastest episodes I’ve ever read!”

Where We Left Off: Callen learned that Hetty’s resignation from NCIS was an effort to protect Callen from the Comescu crime family that wants him dead. In Prague, Hetty told the family that Callen was already dead, but perhaps revealed that she is connected to the Comescu family herself.

What’s Next: “What we reveal in these first four episodes is more than what we’ve revealed about Callen’s backstory in two seasons,” executive producer Shane Brennan teases, although he says the mysteries surrounding Hetty won’t be cleared up so easily. Brennan also promises that the team will swap partners later in the season, and that viewers will get some “heart-wrenching, gut-churning” stories about why Kensi became an NCIS agent
