Kim Raver has scored the female lead in CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles spin-off, TVLine has learned.

The Grey’s Anatomy and 24 actress will play Special Agent Paris, the athletic, smart, witty and bold leader of the Red team. Paris has a Degree in Forensic Science, can drive a golf ball 300 yards and has a brain snapping IQ in the 98th percentile. She prefers to, and often does, work alone.

Raver, who recently scored a recurring role on NBC’s Revolution, joins a cast that also includes John Corbett, Scott Grimes (ER), Edwin Hodge (Cougar Town), Gillian Alexy (Damages), and Miguel Ferrer, who’ll juggle both the L.A. edition and the offshoot.

We’ll get our first glimpse of the spin-off — in which a mobile team of agents live and work together as they cross the country solving crimes — when it airs as a two-part episode of NCIS: LA later this season.

He’ll play an agent named Dave in the back-door pilot starring John Corbett.

ER alum Scott Grimes has been tapped to join the ranks of the back-door pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

NCIS: Red revolves around a mobile team of agents who are forced to live and work together as they crisscross the country solving crimes. The back-door pilot will air in the spring as an episode of NCIS: LA.

Parenthood alum John Corbett will star as analyst Roy Quaid, a former NCIS special agent forced to retire from active service who now works as an analyst. While no longer an active agent, he’s the most experienced investigator working for Red Team, a fact that is not lost on any other agents.

Grimes, whose credits also include American Dad and an episode of the flagship NCIS drama, will play Dave, a highly capable agent with an eye for clues, a nose for lies who is the team’s forensic specialist.

NCIS: LA’s Miguel Ferrer will reprise his role in the potential spinoff as NCIS assistant director Owen Granger, while Red Dawn’s Edwin Hodge will play Special Agent Kai, a computer expert and transport coordinator from South Central L.A. who was raised by his grandmother.

Grimes is repped by Abrams Artists Agency, Industry Entertainment and Weintraub Genshlea.
