THE NCIS: LA TEAM IS SHAKEN AND DIVIDED FOLLOWING CALLEN’S PUBLIC SHOOTING OF THE CHAMELEON AND HETTY’S SUBSEQUENT RESIGNATION, ON THE FOURTH SEASON PREMIERE OF “NCIS: LOS ANGELES,” TUESDAY, SEPT. 25
CHEAT TWEET: Callen suspended, Hetty retired – will the #NCISLA team ever be the same? Season premiere of #NCISLA 9/25 9 pm ET/PT http://bit.ly/MMVEYz“Endgame” – Following Callen’s public shooting of the Chameleon on last season’s finale cliffhanger, all is not well with the NCIS: LA team, as Callen is placed on suspension and Hetty adjusts to retired life, on the fourth season premiere of NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Tuesday, Sept. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The NCIS: Los Angeles season premiere (September 25 on CBS) finds Hetty (Linda Hunt) retired and getting ready to enjoy a much-deserved break on the high seas — but it’s not easy keeping a woman like her quiet. Episode 4 will introduce a female congressional candidate who’s considered a voice of the people.“We’ll get to see what Henrietta thinks of politicians, and it’s not nice,” says exec producer Shane Brennan. Personal stories are also planned for agents Sam Hanna and G. Callen. “We will be casting someone who will get us closer to Callen finding out what the ‘G’ stands for,” adds Brennan.
NCIS: LA scoop would be AWESOME! Also, I’d love you forever. — Franka
I do love eternal love… Fine, here you go: Don’t look for a time jump in episode 1 — because it happens in episode 2, which takes place three months in the future. (They even talk about their vacations!) Episode two also happens to be the very berry buzzy Kensi/Deeks ep that fans will adore. Additionally, look forward to a two-part Sam-centric episode during sweeps that’ll blow your mind!
NCIS: LA | Leading off with a dip into the reader mailbag, Laura wants to know if there’s any “Densi” goodness coming up in Season 4. The good news: There is. The better news: You won’t have to wait long for it. Coming off the super-intense season opener (airing Sept. 25), Episode 2 will deliver what Shane Brennan is calling “the funniest episode we ever made.” The show boss is mum on why exactly the outing’s a riot, but says, “The Kensi-Deeks fans are going to love it. It has a lot of fun in it. [At the table read] everyone was rolling around on the floor laughing.” Brennan gives proper due to the interplay between Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen. “You can write the material, but unless there’s chemistry… it can just lay there very flat,” he explains. “But we have a cast that’s very good with humor.”
How is Callen going to get away with shooting The Chameleon on NCIS: Los Angeles? — Kyle
ADAM: Who says he is? Although the Season 4 premiere, which takes place the following day, opens with Callen walking out of jail, he will still be suspended for the duration of the investigation. And it sounds like things go from bad to worse. “The deeper we get into this story, the further Callen seems to fall,” executive producer Shane Brennan says. However, Callen’s fall may also be an act of honor. “Callen makes a choice to protect Hetty,” Brennan teases. “In doing that, Granger puts out an arrest warrant on Callen. It plays to the closeness of these two characters.”
