As CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles uncorks Season 6 — premiering Sept. 29, in its shiny, new Mondays-at-10/9c time slot — it appears that Hetty’s trip to Washington, D.C. may be (gulp) a one-way trip.
As showrunner Shane Brennan shared during our Fall Preview Q&A, “The story takes Hetty to Washington, where she faces some very hostile questioning from a Senate committee trying to get to the truth of what happened in Afghanistan and whether Hetty was acting outside her job description, so to speak. And then we discover there’s more to this, that in fact Hetty is being targeted by someone. And that actually puts her life in danger.”
Indeed, based on the exclusive promo above, it looks like that ominous “someone” has hit their target’s bull’s-eye — and as you well know, that the team back in L.A. won’t stand for their Hetty being hurt!

This season’s NCIS: LA finale is “without a doubt the darkest season-finale we’ve ever done on the show,” according to executive producer Shane Brennan. And the proof is in the promo.
EW has your exclusive first look at the episode, which finds the team going to new lengths to recover the stolen nuclear weapons they’ve been tracking. The result? An episode that will make for some juicy team drama and could leave at least one life in jeopardy. “It’s big in many, many ways,” Brennan previews.
In the video below, we get a taste of exactly what Brennan means.

What is happening to Deeks!? Why does Sam appear to be lifelessly floating in a body of water?
Brennan is coy on specifics, but warns of some scenes: “People will actually squirm. … When I watched the cut, I had to look away.”
Meanwhile, if Kensi and Deeks appear to be closer than usual in the promo, hold on to your hats for the actual scene. “There is a massive, massive moment that will shock Kensi and Deeks fans,” Brennan teases.
NCIS: LA’s season finale airs May 14 at 9 p.m. ET.

While the agents from NCIS proper will be home for the holidays, their counterparts on CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles are taking a road trip. And by road I mean at sea, and by trip I mean undercover assignment – and TVLine has a first look at that Dec. 18 episode.
Ideally, the Los Angeles NCIS team’s holiday will be full of cheer and not fear — as Callen notes here, “Even bad guys don’t like being on the Naughty List” — as they spend Christmas aboard an aircraft carrier, investigating the death of a fellow agent.
Meanwhile back at HQ, Nell and Eric are quite full of the holiday spirit (or spirits) as evidenced by one of this promo’s two smooches.
