While the agents from NCIS proper will be home for the holidays, their counterparts on CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles are taking a road trip. And by road I mean at sea, and by trip I mean undercover assignment – and TVLine has a first look at that Dec. 18 episode.
Ideally, the Los Angeles NCIS team’s holiday will be full of cheer and not fear — as Callen notes here, “Even bad guys don’t like being on the Naughty List” — as they spend Christmas aboard an aircraft carrier, investigating the death of a fellow agent.
Meanwhile back at HQ, Nell and Eric are quite full of the holiday spirit (or spirits) as evidenced by one of this promo’s two smooches.

On 6 January Sky 1 HD’s hit US dramas Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS: Los Angeles will return for their third and fourth seasons respectively, bringing with them some winter sun and high-octane drama.
After two successful seasons it is time for Sky customers to buckle up for a super-charged third season of Hawaii Five-0. The second season didn’t hold back in its finale, rattling off fiendish plot twists with relish. While Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim) was forced to choose between saving cousin Kono (Grace Park) and wife Malia (Reiko Aylesworth), Joe White (Terry O’Quinn) kept his word and told McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) who the mysterious Shelburne was: Doris McGarrett (Christine Lahti), the mother he thought was dead.
This season starts with quite a Hawaiian punch as it would be an understatement to say Mrs McGarrett has got some explaining to do in the season premiere, amid the drama of nemesis Wo Fat breaking out of prison. We also find Chin Ho in a very dark place. On the plus side, an eclectic gathering of guest stars have booked their tickets to Hawaii, including Oscar® nominee Terrence Howard, as a shadowy figure who has history with Danno (Golden Globe® nominee Scott Caan), and Star Trek legend George Taakei.
Also, coming up this January is the highly anticipated fourth series of NCIS: Los Angeles. Bulldozing expectations, the stakes were raised in the season three finale when Special Agent G Callen (Chris O’Donnell) went rogue and shot dead uber-villain The Chameleon (Christopher Lambert), with hopes of covering up his actions immediately dashed by the presence of a camera crew.
Picking up from this game-changing conclusion, season four explores the fallout from Callen’s decision and how it’s affected the team – will his bromance with Agent Hanna (LL Cool J) ever be the same again? Hetty (Linda Hunt), meanwhile, is struggling to adapt to life in retirement.
Hawaii Five-0 Season 3 and NCIS: Los Angeles Season 4 will begin on Sky 1 HD and Sky 1 on 6 January at 9pm and 10pm respectively

THE NCIS: LOS ANGELES FAMILY SPENDS THE HOLIDAYS APART THANKS TO AN INVESTIGATION THAT TAKES THEM BY AIR, LAND AND SEA IN ORDER TO SOLVE THE CRIME, ON “NCIS: LOS ANGELES,” TUESDAY, DEC. 18
CHEAT TWEET: All aboard 4 a holiday at sea with some of the #NCISLA family! Watch #NCISLA, 12/18, 9 pm ET/PT
“Free Ride” – Callen, Sam, Kensi and Deeks spend Christmas aboard an aircraft carrier investigating the death of a fellow NCIS special agent. Meanwhile, Nell and Eric make the most of the holidays back at headquarters and Hetty takes a trip, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Tuesday, Dec. 18 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
As we await the episode of NCIS: LA in which we’re introduced to the jet-setting do-gooders who’ll populate the proposed spin-off, details are beginning to leak — and juicy ones at that. How juicy? We can now tell you who (at least a few of) the characters are!
• Paris: This Special Agent is a twice-divorced badass who is as sexy as she is tough and as smart as she is sexy. In other words, she is formidable on just about every level. Her one weakness? Though she’s part of a team, she works best when she works alone.
• Roy: Though he is (not-at-all-willingly) retired from active duty, this former Special Agent is still employed as the group’s Operations Manager. However, it’s widely acknowledged that he is nonetheless their shrewdest investigator.
• Danny: The team’s forensic specialist (and resident oddball) is an ex-NYPD detective who has a little skill at a lotta things. Except driving. Apparently, at that, he has no skill whatsoever!
• Clara: Not only a brainiac, lawyer, photographer and military junkie, this Special Agent is also supermodel gorgeous. In her eyes, though, she’s just the tomboy next door.
• Kai: The group’s young IT guy apparently is so bright — thanks, MIT! — he doesn’t just say “Did you try rebooting?” like ours does when someone brings him a computer problem. No wonder they all love him like a kid brother.

Nate’s back!
EW has learned exclusively that Peter Cambor, who plays operational psychologist Nate Getz on NCIS: LA, is set to return as a guest star for a February episode that will take him undercover with Hetty (Linda Hunt).
“This episode is a must-see for fans of both Nate and Hetty,” executive producer Shane Brennan says. “Not only do we get to have Nate guest in the episode, but we get to see him go undercover with Hetty. It’s one of the most memorable, funny undercover operations we’ve done on the series.”
Cambor, who currently appears on the TBS series Wedding Band, was a series regular on NCIS: LA‘s first season and has appeared on the show a number of times since then as a guest star.
